The dawn of Myanmar’s civilization-Bagan, the last kingdom of Myanmar-Mandalay, the unique natural
heritage-Inle Lake and Myanmar open air museum-Mrauk Oo are selected for those who love the serenity of
ancient heritage and gain an insight into the inherited life style of the inhabitants. 15 days/14 nights Sightseeing by coach with a/c The authentic Minkyansit boats (the property of Adventure Myanmar), made of teak wood are traditionally built and decorated, available on request for Mingun river excursion. Our catering team is ready to serve delicious cuisine if we make one day cruise. The boat between Sittwe and Mrauk Oo is simple and some of them are used for catching fishes. The advance booking is required. The express boat also operates between Sittwe & Mrauk Oo. It departs Sittwe at 7 am and arrives to Mrauk Oo at 12 pm. It then departs Mrauk Oo at about 1 pm and arrives back to Sittwe at about 6/7 pm. Private boats are also available. Domestic flights on Air Mandalay or Yangon Airways or Air Bagan (F-100, ATR-72/42) The airlines fly between Yangon & Sittwe but not daily. Day 02 Flight to Bagan. Sightseeing. Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Bagan. Visit local market, where we can understand the daily life of local people, the Shwezigon Pagoda-the glory of Bagan, which was built over 900 years ago, the Htilominlo Temple-the best pilaster carving, the Nathtaukkyaung Monastery- monastery made of teak wood at the bank of the river, the Ananda Temple-the masterpiece of Bagan, the Gubyaukgyi Temple-the best mural paintings of 11th century, the Manuha Temple-huge Buddha Images in standing and reclining positions, the Dhamayangyi Temple-the biggest and the finest brickworks temple in Bagan, the Sulamani Temple-the 12th century temple, which is proud for its colourful wall paintings, the lacquerware workshop-the unique of Bagan, etc. Finally, enjoy the sunset on top of a pagoda or temple. Overnight in Bagan. |

Day 03 Sightseeing Bagan

Day 04 Drive to Mt.Popa (50 km,
2 hours). Proceed to Mandalay (240 km, 5/6 hours) Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Mt.Popa-an extinct volcano which is known as “Home of the Spirits” and observe the life of rural area on the way such as producing the palm sweets. We may stop several places for making the photos and knowing the countryside. Climb up 777 steps to reach of top of Mt.Popa cliff temple and enjoy the landscapes. Come down and proceed to Mandalay. Check in at the hotel and leisure. Overnight in Mandalay. |
Day 05 Excursion Amarapura,
Sagaing & sightseeing Mandalay Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Visit Mahamuni Buddha Imageone of the most sacred Buddha Images in Myanmar with 01 ton of gold-gilded and many pieces of precious stones, such as diamonds, rubies, pearls, sapphires, emeralds, etc. Transfer to Amarapura, an ancient capital of Myanmar, where we can observe the life of over 1000 monks at Mahagandaryon Monastery & silk weaving factory. Proceed to Sagaing, where we can observe the fascinating landscapes of the Ayeyarwaddy River from serene Sagaing Hill, the place of over 700 monasteries. Drive to Mandalay and visit Mahamuni Buddha Image-one of the most sacred Buddha Images in Myanmar with 01 ton of gold-gilded and many pieces of precious stones, such as diamonds, rubies, pearls, sapphires, emeralds, etc. Continue visiting of traditional handicraft workshops such as, marble carving, gold leaves beating, Kuthodaw Pagoda, which houses 729 marble slabs sculptured the teaching of Buddha, Shwenandaw (Golden Palace) Monastery, which is the masterpiece of wood carving, etc. Finally enjoy the sunset on top of Mandalay Hill where we can admire the beauty of Mandalay City, Shan Plateau, etc. Come back to hotel and leisure. Day 06 River cruise Mingun-Ava (Inwa)
Day 07 Flight to Heho. Drive to Pindaya (45 km, 01:30 hours). Proceed to Inle (97 km, 02:30 hours)

Day 11 Sightseeing Mrauk Oo Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Visit Shittaung Temple- Shrine of the 80,000 Images, Pitakaktaik, which literally means Buddhist cannon with distinguishing features such as fivetiered roofline and beautifully decorated east-facing entranceway, Laungbanpyauk Pagoda & Sakyamanaung Pagoda, Andaw Thein temple, Yadanabon Pagoda, which is the largest stupa in the area and damaged by WW II bombing, only the ‘bell’ portion and base remain standing, Yadana Manaung, Satkya Manaung, etc. Enjoy the sunset on top of Htoke Kan Thein Temple- which houses 146 Buddha niches along white sandstone reliefs depicting 64 different types of hairstyles for the wives of Mrauk Oo nobility. Day 12 Excursion Vesali Village &
Mahamuni Buddha Image Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Vesali, the ancient capital founded in 372 AD is just 10 km from Mrauk Oo. On the way, we can observe plenty of rice fields, which define Rakhine State as “The Land of Bounteous Rice”. The ancient Sutaung Pye Buddha Image is worth seeing and Buddha and its pedestal are said to be made from one piece of solid stone. Proceed to Mahamuni Temple (two hours drive approximately) was the original site for Mandalay’s famous Mahamuni Buddha, a huge and very old bronze image which Rakhine kings believed provided supernatural protection for their successive kingdoms When the Myanmar king invaded in 1784, it was dismantled into three pieces and hauled over the Rakhine mountain ranges to Amarapura, 11 km south of Mandalay. Nowadays three smaller stone images sit on the pedestal where the Mahamuni image once sat. A famous sandstone stele found here depicts a Gupta-style Buddha dating from 400 to 500 AD. Back to Mrauk Oo and take the boat ride along Mrauk Oo canal. Overnight. |
