Silver Myanmar (12 Days/11 Nights)
Yangon-Kyaing Tong-Heho-Inle-Mandalay-Bagan-Yangon

 

If you want to be free from all care and learn things little known, just pack up, get set and start off for a unique journey to discover the authentic hill tribes. The mountain with fresh air, rugged terrain and colorful hill tribes are an ideal hideaway from townsfolk and nature lovers.
12 days/11 nights
The trekking in Kyaing Tong is not hard and it can be done at every age.

We can arrange 4x4 on request to reach some of the villages. The maximum walking time is about two hours. The road condition is a little bit bad in the rainy season (July to September).
Trekking boots or sport shoes are recommended.
Rain coats in the rainy season (from July to September).

Sightseeing and transportation by coach with air-condition (except in Kyaing Tong)
Mandalay-Bagan public boat operates daily only from October to March. The rest of the months depends on the numbers of passengers. It leaves at 07:00 a.m and the arrival time to Bagan depends on the season and water level. In the dried season from October to May, it can take about 10/12 hours and in the rainy season from June to September, it can take about 7/8 hours only.
The authentic Minkyansit boats (the property of Adventure Myanmar), made of teak wood are traditionally built and decorated, available on request for Mingun river excursion & Mandalay-Bagan one day boat trip.
Our catering team is ready to serve delicious cuisine if we make one day cruise.
Domestic flights on Air Mandalay or Yangon Airways or Air Bagan (F-100, ATR-72/42)
The best accommodation available in Keng Tong is 3* but neat and clean, acceptable standard for foreign visitors. The foods quality in Keng Tong is not bad but due to little choice of the restaurants, we may have to repeat to eat at the best restaurant available.
Recommend to make all the year round.

 

Day 01 Arrival Yangon
Welcome at the airport. Transfer and check in at the hotel. Visit the National Museum-05 storey building which displays all about Myanmar, mainly the Lion Throne of the last king of Myanmar, who exiled to India in 1886, the Botahtaung Pagoda- the combination of stupa & temple, the colonial area, the Sule Pagoda-the landmark of Yangon City Centre, which has been enshrined the hair relic of Buddha, the Chaukhtatgyi Reclining Buddha Image-72 meters long huge colossal image. Finally, visit the Shwedagon Pagoda- one of the wonders of the world where we can observe the ways of life of Buddhists such as offering the water, candles, flowers, etc. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 02 Flight to Kyaing Tong
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Kyaing Tong.Upon arrival, transfer and check in at the hotel. Drive to trekking start-point (01:30 hrs). Trekking to Akha village (approximately 30 minutes), ladies with the black dress and the silver headdress. Proceed to Enn village (approximately 20 minutes), the men wear the long black trousers and the black jackets whereas women wear the black longyis and black blouses, similar to Red Indians. Trek back to the starting-point (30 minutes). Drive back to Kyaing Tong. Leisure and overnight.

 

Day 03 Kyaing Tong
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Drive about 01:30 hrs to start trekking. Visit Akha four villages with different religions and different ways of living. Back to the coach. Continue to Palaung Village, women wear their traditional costumes. Back to Kyaing Tong and wandering in the town, such as nearby Naung Tong Lake, etc. Overnight.

Day 04 Flight to Heho.
Drive to Inle (35 km, 01 hour).
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Visit local market. Observe “Wat Zon Kham Temple”, which is very similar in architecture of Laungpraban in Laos, lacquerware workshop, pottery village, etc. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Heho. Upon arrival, drive to Inle and check in at the hotel. Overnight

 

.Day 05 Excursion Inle
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Boat excursion on the lake.
Visit In Thein pagodas in ruins covered by trees and busheswhich are supposed to be old about 500 years, floating gardens, floating villages, Lotus-petal robe weaving looms, Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda-the most venerable pagoda on the lake, which houses 05 images of Buddha completely gilded, In Paw Khon village to observe the silk weaving, jumping cats monastery, etc. Check in at the hotel and overnight.

 

Day 06 Excursion Taunggyi (30 km, 01 hour).
Flight to Mandalay.

Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Taunggyi-the capital of Shan State, 1500 meters above sea level. The bustling local market, the Shan State Museum, the Sutaungpye Pagoda-panoramic view to Inle Lake, etc., are interesting to observe. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival, drive to Mandalay (01 hour) and check in at the hotel. Leisure and overnight in Mandalay.

 

Day 07 Excursion Mingun & sightseeing Mandalay.
Morning breakfast at the hotel. Boat excursion to Mingun (01 hour) along the Ayeyarwaddy River. During the river cruise, we may enjoy the fascinating landscapes of the river as well as the daily life of the people living along the Ayeyarwaddy. Visit Mingun pagoda, which was dedicated to be the highest one but remained as the biggest pile of bricks & the biggest ringing bell of 90 tons, the unusual Myatheindan pagoda, which represents Mt. Meru and the abode of celestial beings. Back to Mandalay and visit traditional handicraft workshops such as, gold leaves beating, Kuthodaw Pagoda, which houses 729 marble slabs sculptured the teaching of Buddha, Shwenandaw (Golden Palace) Monastery, which is the masterpiece of wood carving, etc. Finally enjoy the sunset on top of Mandalay Hill where we can admire the beauty of Mandalay City, Shan Plateau, etc. Come back to hotel and leisure. Overnight in Mandalay.

 

Day 08 Excursion Amarapura, Sagaing & Ava (Inwa)
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Visit Mahamuni Buddha Image- one of the most sacred Buddha Images in Myanmar with 01 ton of gold-gilded and many pieces of precious stones, such as diamonds, rubies, pearls, sapphires, emeralds, etc. Excursion to Amarapura, an ancient capital of Myanmar, where we can observe the life of over 1000 monks at Mahagandaryon Monastery & silk weaving factory. Proceed to Sagaing, where we can observe the fascinating landscapes of the Ayeyarwaddy River from serene Sagaing Hill, the place of over 700 monasteries, Kaungmudaw Pagoda-the magnificent dome remarkably seen from far away, silverware factory, etc. Continue to Ava (Inwa) and visit by horse carts to Maenu Okkyaung Monastery- built by the chief queen in 1818 for the venerable chief monk is the unique brick type building of 19th century, Nan Myint Tower-27 meter masonry high is declined due to the earthquake in 1811, Bargayar Monastery-well known for its wood carving with 267 teak pillars. Come back to Amarpaura and enjoy the sunset by crossing over U Bein bridge. Overnight in Mandalay.

 

Day 09 River cruise to Bagan
Early morning, after the breakfast, transfer to the jetty for the river cruise to Bagan. Leisure and enjoy the marvelous landscapes during the cruise. The boat may stop is some villages to get the local passengers up and down. Arrive to Bagan and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Bagan.

 

Day 10 Sightseeing Bagan
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Visit local market, where we can understand the daily life of local people, the Shwezigon Pagoda-the glory of Bagan, which was built over 900 years ago, the Htilominlo Temple-the best pilaster carving, the Nathtaukkyaung Monastery-monastery made of teak wood at the bank of the river, the Ananda Temple-the masterpiece of Bagan, the Gubyaukgyi Temple-the best mural paintings of 11th century, the Manuha Temple-huge Buddha Images in standing and reclining positions, the Dhamayangyi Temple-the biggest and the finest brickworks temple in Bagan, the Sulamani Temple-the 12th century temple, which is proud for its colourful wall paintings, the lacquerware workshop-the unique of Bagan, etc. Finally, enjoy the sunset on top of a pagoda or temple.
Overnight in Bagan.

 

Day 11 Flight to Yangon, Sightseeing
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Yangon. Upon arrival, transfer and check in at the hotel. Visit Bogyoke market-the biggest one in Yangon. Leisure and overnight.

 

Day 12 Departure
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Yangon International Airport for the departure flight

Optional Myanmar-Thai border(Thachileik- Mae Sai)
We can enter to Thachileik from Mae Sai by crossing the bridge. Upon arrival at the border, we will assist the border pass procedure and bring the clients to waiting vehicles. We just have to walk about 05 minutes to cross over the Myanmar-Thai border bridge. We can even do vice versa by entering to Yangon, continuing to Bagan, Mandalay Inle Lake and Kyaing Tong then concluding the trip in Thachileik.
