Buddha, Shwenandaw (Golden Palace) Monastery, which is the masterpiece
of wood carving, etc. Finally enjoy the sunset on top of
Mandalay Hill where we can admire the beauty of Mandalay City,
Shan Plateau, etc. Come back to hotel and leisure. Overnight in
Mandalay.
Day 04 Road to Mandalay
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the Shwe Kyet
Yet jetty and board the Road To Mandalay. Buffet lunch on
board. This afternoon, visit Mahamuni Pagoda, home to
Mandalay’s holiest Buddha statue, and visit Shwe Inn Bin
Monastery. Make a photostop at the south of the moat
around the Royal Palace, with views on Mandalay Hill. Visit
Shwenandaw Monastery. Stop to see stone carving (if time
permits) and, later, to see gold leaf being beaten into wafer
thin pieces (if time permits). Lastly, enjoy the sunset from UBein
bridge, which is over a kilometre long and made entirely
of teak. Return to Road To Mandalay. Dinner and cultural
show on board. Accommodation on Road To Mandalay.
Day 05 Road to Mandalay
Breakfast. Cross Ava Bridge, built by British engineers, to
visit picturesque Sagaing Hill which is perhaps the living centre
of Buddhist faith in Myanmar today. Hillsides are dotted
with numerous pagodas and monasteries. Stop to see the
silversmiths producing silver almsbowls (if time permits). Also
visit the Zayar Thein Gyi Nunnery. Return to Road To Mandalay
for departure from Shwe Kyet Yet - jetty in the direction of
Bagan. Lunch on board. In the afternoon an onboard program
with a lecture by the tour guides, demonstrations of
Tanaka and the famous Myanmar Longyi. Dinner on board.

Day 06 Road to Mandalay
Breakfast. Road To Mandalay arrives Bagan. In the morning
visit the golden stupa of Shwezigon Pagoda, which is Bagan’s
most important reliquary shrine – look out for images of the
37 ‘nats’ housed in a small hall. Visit Nyaung U local market
and continue to Htilominlo, the last Bamar style temple built
in Bagan, with old murals and friezes. Return to Road To
Mandalay. Lunch on Board. In the afternoon, visit Ananda
Temple, a whitewashed masterpiece of Mon architecture with
four standing Buddhas, and the adjacent brick monastery
from the Early Bagan era with well-preserved murals. Admire
the fine stucco work at Gubyaukgyi Temple (Myinkaba
village) and stop at a lacquer ware shop to watch craftsmen
skilfully making this most famous of Bagan handicrafts. Continue
to the village of Minnanthu to see how the local people
live and see the sunset from one of the famous monuments
of Bagan. Return to Road to Mandalay. Dinner and traditional
Myanmar Puppet Show on board. Accommodation on
Road To Mandalay.
Day 07 Sightseeing Bagan
Morning, breakfast on board. Depart Road To Mandalay and
transfer to hotel. Visit local market, where we can understand
the daily life of local people, the Shwezigon Pagodathe
glory of Bagan, which was built over 900 years ago, the
Htilominlo Temple-the best pilaster carving, the
Nathtaukkyaung Monastery-monastery made of teak wood
at the bank of the river, the Ananda Temple-the masterpiece
of Bagan, the Gubyaukgyi Temple-the best mural paintings
of 11th century, the Manuha Temple-huge Buddha Images in
standing and reclining positions, the Dhamayangyi Templethe
biggest and the finest brickworks temple in Bagan, the
Sulamani Temple-the 12th century temple, which is proud for
its colourful wall paintings, the lacquerware workshop-the
unique of Bagan, etc. Finally, enjoy the sunset on top of a
pagoda or temple. Overnight in Bagan.
Day 08 Flight to Heho.
Drive to Pindaya
(45 km, 01:30 hours).
Proceed to Inle
(97 km, 02:30 hours).
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for
the flight to Heho. Drive to Pindaya and enjoy the marvelous
landscapes of hilly region with vegetables plantation, terrace-
landing cultivation, etc. Visit the Pindaya Caves-houses
8094 Buddha Images cast in lacquer, wood, stone, alabaster,
etc, umbrella workshop, which is made of pulp. Proceed
to Inle and on the way, visit Shweyanpye Monastery-typical
Shan Monastery, made of wood which is about 500 years
old and its pagoda-there are over 700 small Buddha Images
in niches fully painted traditionally by Shan people. Check in
at the hotel and overnight.
