Mt. Victoria (11 Days/10 Nights)
Yangon-Bagan-Mt.Victoria-Yangon- Myaing Hay Wun Elephant Camp

 

The most impressive way to enjoy Myanmar in the raw is on foot through some Chin villages where we can be in close contact with the minorities and the authentic elephant camp.
11 days/10 nights
Domestic flights on Air Mandalay or Yangon Airways or Air Bagan (F-100, ATR-72/42)
4x4 to Mt. Victoria & its environs.
The trekking is a little bit hard. We have to sleep in the villages with simple accommodation.
Traditional village cooked foods will be provided during the trekking.
Trekking boot is highly recommended.
Recommended from October to May.
Day 01 Arrival Yangon
Welcome at the airport. Transfer and check in at the hotel.
Orientation tour Yangon if time permits. Visit the colonial area, the Sule Pagoda-the landmark of Yangon City Centre, which has been enshrined the hair relic of Buddha, the Chaukhtatgyi Reclining Buddha Image-72 meters long huge colossal image.
Finally, visit the Shwedagon Pagoda-one of the wonders of the world where we can observe the ways of life of Buddhists such as offering the water, candles, flowers, etc. Overnight in Yangon.
Day 02 Flight to Bagan. Sightseeing.
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Bagan. Visit local market, where we can understand the daily life of local people, the Shwezigon Pagoda-the glory of Bagan, which was built over 900 years ago, the Htilominlo Temple-the best pilaster carving, the Nathtaukkyaung Monastery- monastery made of teak wood at the bank of the river, the Ananda Temple - the masterpiece of Bagan, the Gubyaukgyi Temple-the best mural paintings of 11th century, the Manuha Temple-huge Buddha Images in standing and reclining positions, the Dhamayangyi Temple-the biggest and the finest brickworks temple
in Bagan, the Sulamani Temple-the 12th century temple, which is proud for its colourful wall paintings, the lacquerware workshop-the unique of Bagan, etc. Finally, enjoy the sunset on top of a pagoda or temple. Overnight in Bagan.

Day 03 Drive to Pakokku-Kyaukhtu (160 km, 6/7 hours) & Min Tak
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Pakokku, a cheroot trading centre and hand weaving looms. Visit Kyaukhtu and proceed to Min Tak village, the starting point of Chin hills where we can observe Chin tribes. Overnight in the village.

 

Day 04 Trekking to Ayesakan Chin Village (5200 ft)
Morning, after breakfast, trek to Ayesakan Chin village and visit around. Overnight in the village.

 

Day 05 Trekking to Yansi Camp
After breakfast, trek to Yansi Camp and on the way, visit tribal villages. Overnight.

 

Day 06 Mt. Victoria & trek back to 8 miles camp
After breakfast, climb up to the top of Mt. Victoria and enjoy the landscapes. Back to 8 miles camp and overnight.

Day 07 Trek to Kanpetlet Camp
After breakfast, trek back to Kanpetlet Camp. Enjoy the unspoiled beauty. Overnight.

 

Day 08 Back to Bagan
Morning, after breakfast, drive back to Bagan. Check in at the hotel upon arrival. Leisure and overnight in Bagan.

Day 09 Flight to Yangon. Sightseeing
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Yangon. Upon arrival, transfer and check in at the hotel. Visit Bogyoke market-the biggest one in Yangon. Leisure and overnight.

 

Day 10 Excursion Myaing Hay Wun Elephant Camp
Early morning, excursion to Myaing Hay Wun Elephant Camp and breakfast on the way. Drive to Phalon (about 01:30 hours) then to the entrance of Myaing Hay Wun Elephant Camp (about 01 hour). Proceed to Paung Lin (about 6 km, 30 minutes). Exploration of elephant camp, apart from the natural scenery, one can also experience the daily life of the working elephants. Elephant ride can be arranged (on own account). Drive back to Yangon and leisure. Overnight.

 

Day 11 Departure
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Yangon International Airport for the departure flight.
