Yangon-Mandalay-Pyin Oo Lwin-Bagan-Mt.Popa-Kalaw-Pindaya-Inle- Kakku-Yangon
The charming hilly regions can find both a bustling port in modern life style and solemn temples with the traditional way of life. The tranquil and fairy world will set you free from the stress and pollution of city life.

Train is not in good condition and very tough.
*On request-we can arrange special wagon which is furnished with mini-bar kitchen, bathroom, toilet, dinning room, sleeping beds, etc. Each wagon can be accommodated ten persons as maximum. Early booking is required.
Mandalay-Bagan public boat operates daily only from October to March. The rest of the months depends on the numbers of passengers. It leaves at 07:00 a.m and the arrival time to Bagan depends on the season and water level. In the dried season from October to May, it can take about 10/12 hours and in the rainy season from June to September, it can take about 7/8 hours only.
The authentic Minkyansit boats (the property of Adventure Myanmar), made of teak wood are traditionally built and decorated, available on request for Mingun river excursion or one day trip between Mandalay & Bagan.
Our catering team is ready to serve delicious cuisine.
Trekking in Pindaya is not so hard and not so soft. The maximum walking time will be approximately two hours. The way is up and down but not steep. Meals during the trekking will be traditional village cooked foods.
Trekking boots or sport shoes are recommended.
Rain coats in the rainy season (from July to September)
Accommodation at the monastery is simple and we have to sleep in the main hall, men and ladies separately. We will provide mattress, blankets, pillows and mosquito nets.

Day 01 Arrival Yangon
Welcome at the airport. Transfer and check in at the hotel.
Orientation tour Yangon if time permits. Visit the colonial
area, the Sule Pagoda-the landmark of Yangon City Centre, which has been enshrined the hair relic of Buddha, the Chaukhtatgyi Reclining Buddha Image-72 meters long huge colossal image. Finally, visit the Shwedagon Pagoda-one of the wonders of the world where we can observe the ways of life of Buddhists such as offering the water, candles, flowers, etc. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 02 Train to Mandalay (14/16 hours)
Early morning, transfer to the station for the train to Mandalay. Picnic breakfast and experience the tough journey by train. Arrival to Mandalay and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Mandalay.

 

Day 03 Excursion Mingun & sightseeing Mandalay.
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Boat excursion to Mingun (01 hour) along the Ayeyarwaddy River. During the river cruise, we may enjoy the fascinating landscapes of the river as well as the daily life of the people living along the Ayeyarwaddy. Visit Mingun pagoda, which was dedicated to be the highest one but remained as the biggest pile of bricks & the biggest ringing bell of 90 tons, the unusual Myatheindan pagoda, which represents Mt. Meru and the abode of celestial beings. Back to Mandalay and visit traditional handicraft workshops such as, gold leaves beating, Kuthodaw Pagoda, which houses 729 marble slabs sculptured the teaching of Buddha, Shwenandaw (Golden Palace) Monastery, which is the masterpiece of wood carving, etc. Finally enjoy the sunset on top of Mandalay Hill where we can admire the beauty of Mandalay City, Shan Plateau, etc. Come back to hotel and leisure. Overnight in Mandalay.

Day 04 Excursion Pyin Oo Lwin (Maymyo, 67 km, 2 hours)
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Pyin Oo Lwin, former colonial hill station at 1040 meters above sea level. We can observe pine trees, eucalyptus and silver oak coffee, vegetables and strawberries, which are grown on the slopes of the hills. Local market, Kandawgyi National Park (former Botanical Garden), Pwekaku waterfall & Peikchinmyaing Caves are the highlights of Pyin Oo Lwin. Orientation by steed coach is an experience which should not be missed. Back to Mandalay and leisure. Overnight.

Day 05 Excursion Amarapura, Sagaing & Ava (Inwa)
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Visit Mahamuni Buddha Image- one of the most sacred Buddha Images in Myanmar with 01 ton of gold-gilded and many pieces of precious stones, such as diamonds, rubies, pearls, sapphires, emeralds, etc. Excursion to Amarapura, an ancient capital of Myanmar, where we can observe the life of over 1000 monks at Mahagandaryon Monastery & silk weaving factory. Proceed to Sagaing, where we can observe the fascinating landscapes of the Ayeyarwaddy River from serene Sagaing Hill, the place of over 700 monasteries, Kaungmudaw Pagoda-the magnificent dome remarkably seen from far away, silverware factory, etc. Continue to Ava (Inwa) and visit by horse carts to Maenu Okkyaung Monastery-built by the chief queen in 1818 for the venerable chief monk is the unique brick type building of 19th century, Nan Myint Tower-27 meter masonry high is declined due to the earthquake in 1811, Bargayar Monastery-well known for its wood carving with 267 teak pillars. Come back to Amarpaura and enjoy the sunset by crossing over U Bein bridge. Overnight in Mandalay.

 

Day 06 River cruise to Bagan
Early morning, after the breakfast, transfer to the jetty for the river cruise to Bagan. Leisure and enjoy the marvelous landscapes during the cruise. The boat may stop in some villages to get the local passengers up and down. Arrive to Bagan and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Bagan.

 

Day 07 Sightseeing Bagan
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Visit local market, where we can understand the daily life of local people, the Shwezigon Pagoda-the glory of Bagan, which was built over 900 years ago, the Htilominlo Temple-the best pilaster carving, the Nathtaukkyaung Monastery-monastery made of teak wood at the bank of the river, the Ananda Temple-the masterpiece of Bagan, the Gubyaukgyi Temple-the best mural paintings of 11th century, the Manuha Temple-huge Buddha Images in standing and reclining positions, the Dhamayangyi Temple-the biggest and the finest brickworks temple in Bagan, the Sulamani Templethe 12th century temple, which is proud for its colourful wall paintings, the lacquerware workshop-the unique of Bagan, etc. Finally, enjoy the sunset on top of a pagoda or temple. Overnight in Bagan.


Day 08 Sightseeing Bagan
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Visit Lawkananda pagoda, which has the fascinating river view, enshrined the tooth replica of Buddha, Payathonezu temples with mural paintings, Nagayon Temple of 11th century, Apyeyadanar Temple with mural paintings, etc. In the late afternoon, visit the Minanathu village to observe the life of people. Finally, take the boat ride on mighty Ayeyarwaddy River during the sunset time. Overnight in Bagan.
Day 09 Excursion Mt.Popa (50 km, 02:00 hrs).
Drive to Kalaw (240 km, 8/9 hours)

Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Mt.Popa-an extinct volcano which is known as “Home of the Spirits” and observe the life of rural area on the way such as producing the palm sweets. We may stop several places for making the photos and knowing the countryside. Climb up 777 steps to reach of top of Mt.Popa cliff temple and enjoy the landscapes. Come down and proceed to Kalaw. Check in at the hotel and leisure. Overnight in Kalaw.
Day 10 Drive to Pindaya (45 km, 01:30 hours).
Trekking to Yatzakyi village Breakfast at the hotel. Proceed to Pindaya and enjoy the marvelous landscapes of hilly region with vegetables plantation, terrace-landing cultivation, etc. Trekking to Sikya-inn village inhabited by the hill tribe Danu and end after trekking over 7 Km for 02 hours. Take rest for a while and have snack and green tea. Then continue to Yatsakyi Village, where hill tribe Palaung, who wears the traditional cloth, resides.Upon arrival, lunch and rest in a monastery. Then stroll in the village and chat with the natives. Dinner will be served to you, accompanied by the hill tribe’s cultural dance (on supplement). Overnight at the monastery in Yasakyi Village.

Day 11 Trek back to Pindaya.

Drive to Inle (97 km, 02:30 hours)
Early morning after breakfast we will mount the Mt. Yasakyi about 7000ft above sea level, the spot that offers you panoramic views. Then climb down and continue to trek to Mane Taung, Pinsein Pin, Htin-shugon, Taung Baw Gyi and return to Pindaya. Refreshment and visit the Pindaya Caves-houses 8094 Buddha Images cast in lacquer, wood, stone, alabaster, etc, umbrella workshop, which is made of pulp. Drive to Inle. Check in at the hotel and leisure.
Overnight.

Day 12 Excursion Inle
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Boat excursion on the lake. Visit In Thein pagodas in ruins covered by trees and bushes-which are supposed to be old about 500 years, floating gardens, floating villages, Lotus-petal robe weaving looms, Phaungdaw Oo Pagodathe most venerable pagoda on the lake, which houses 05 images of Buddha completely gilded, In Paw Khon village to observe the silk weaving, jumping cats monastery, etc. Overnight.
Day 13 Excursion Kakku (3 hours drive)
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Taunggyi-the capital of Shan State, 1500 meters above sea level. Proceed to Kakku village and on the way enjoy the natural heritage. Arrive to Kakku pagodas, which wee built over 2400 years ago. They all are together in the same compound and some of them were hidden with bushes and trees. Back to Taunggyi and visit the bustling local market. Then return to Inle Lake and overnight.

Day 14 Flight to Yangon
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Yangon. Upon arrival, transfer and check in at the hotel. Leisure and overnight in Yangon.

 

Day 15 Departure
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Yangon International Airport for the departure flight.
