Yangon-Mandalay-Pakkoku-Bagan-Mt.Popa-Pindaya-Inle-Heho-Yangon

 

A journey on Myanmar’s Ayeyarwaddy River is one of life’s great travel experiences. The river is honoured as “Mother of the country” since it provides a lot of water to irrigate the rice cultivation. The landscape that time overlooked will remain imprinted in the memory forever.
10 days/09 nights
Sightseeing and transportation by coach with air-condition .

RV Pandaw 1947 was powered by a stern paddle, now replaced by modern engines. Conserving many original features, the comfortable cabins are added, with air-con and en suite shower rooms. There is a spacious observation lounge in the force and dinning room aft. An open observation deck extends aft of the flying bridge.

Finished in local hardwoods, and furniture with period pieces, the Pandaw will house the collection of historic prints and antiques. Promenade decks enable passengers to sit outside their cabins. The intension has been to recreate the atmosphere and character of the first classic river steamer.
Reservation policy
No reservation can be accepted without the payment of a deposit.
Final balances should be received by 31 days prior to departure; failure to pay may be treated as a cancellation and the below cancellation charges applies.
Cancellation charges
Up to 75 days prior to departure: no cancellation fee.
From 75 - 45 days prior to departure: 20% of each cabin cancelled.
You may reduce cabins up to maximum 2 without any cancellation fees
From 44 - 21 days prior to departure: 50% of each cabin cancelled.
From 20 days and no show: 100% of each cabin cancelled.
Domestic flights on Air Mandalay or Yangon Airways or Air Bagan (F-100, ATR-72/42)

Day 01 Arrival Yangon
Welcome at the airport. Transfer and check in at the hotel.
Orientation tour Yangon if time permits. Visit the colonial area, the Sule Pagoda-the landmark of Yangon City Centre, which has been enshrined the hair relic of Buddha, the Chaukhtatgyi Reclining Buddha Image-72 meters long huge colossal image.
Finally, visit the Shwedagon Pagoda-one of the wonders of the world where we can observe the ways of life of Buddhists such as offering the water, candles, flowers, etc. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 02 Flight to Mandalay.

Day 03 Excursion Amarapura, Sagaing & Ava (Inwa)
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Visit Mahamuni Buddha Image- one of the most sacred Buddha Images in Myanmar with 01 ton of gold-gilded and many pieces of precious stones, such as diamonds, rubies, pearls, sapphires, emeralds, etc. Excursion to Amarapura, an ancient capital of Myanmar, where we can observe the life of over 1000 monks at Mahagandaryon Monastery & silk weaving factory. Proceed to Sagaing, where we can observe the fascinating landscapes of the Ayeyarwaddy River from serene Sagaing Hill, the place of over 700 monasteries, Kaungmudaw Pagoda the magnificent dome remarkably seen from far away, silverware factory, etc. Continue to Ava (Inwa) and visit by horse carts to Maenu Okkyaung Monastery-built by the chief queen in 1818 for the venerable chief monk is the unique brick type building of 19th century, Nan Myint Tower-27 meter masonry high is declined due to the earthquake in 1811, Bargayar Monastery-well known for its wood carving with 267 teak pillars. Come back to Amarpaura and enjoy the sunset by crossing over U Bein Bridge. Overnight in Mandalay.

Day 04 On Board the Cruise
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the jetty. Depart Shwe Kyet Yet Jetty at 10:00 morning. During the cruise, enjoy the beauty and life of Ayeyarwaddy River. Lunch on board and leisure. Dinner and overnight on board.

 

Day 05 Sightseeing Pakkoku.
Arrival Bagan

Morning, breakfast on board. Sightseeing Pakkoku-an ancient city, famous for its cotton weaving looms. Upon arrival Bagan at 10:00 in the morning, transfer and check in at the hotel. Visit the Shwezigon Pagoda-the glory of Bagan, which was built over 900 years ago, the Htilominlo Temple the best pilaster carving, the Nathtaukkyaung Monastery, monastery made of teak wood at the bank of the river, the Ananda Temple-the masterpiece of Bagan, the Gubyaukgyi Temple-the best mural paintings of 11th century, the Manuha Temple-huge Buddha Images in standing and reclining positions, the Dhamayangyi Temple-the biggest and the finest brickworks temple in Bagan, the Sulamani Temple-the 12th century temple, which is proud for its colourful wall paintings, the lacquerware workshop-the unique of Bagan, etc. Finally, enjoy the sunset on top of a pagoda or temple. Overnight in Bagan.

 

Day 06 Excursion Mt.Popa (50 km, 2 hours)
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Mt.Popa-an extinct volcano which is known as “Home of the Spirits” and observe the life of rural area on the way such as producing the palm sweets. We may stop several places for making the photos and knowing the countryside. Climb up 777 steps to reach of top of Mt.Popa cliff temple and enjoy the landscapes.
Come down and back to Bagan. Visit Minanthu village to observe the way of life of the people. Enjoy the sunset on top of a pagoda and overnight in Bagan.

 

Day 07 Flight to Heho.
Drive to Pindaya (45 km, 01:30 hours).
Proceed to Inle (97 km, 02:30 hours)

Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Heho. Drive to Pindaya and enjoy the marvelous landscapes of hilly region with vegetables plantation, terrace- landing cultivation, etc. Visit the Pindaya Caves-houses 8094 Buddha Images cast in lacquer, wood, stone, alabaster, etc, umbrella workshop, which is made of pulp. Proceed to Inle and on the way, visit Shweyanpye Monastery-typical Shan Monastery, made of wood which is about 500 years old and its pagoda-there are over 700 small Buddha Images in niches fully painted traditionally by Shan people. Check in at the hotel and overnight.

 

Day 08 Excursion Inle
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Boat excursion on the lake.
Visit In Thein pagodas in ruins covered by trees and busheswhich are supposed to be old about 500 years, floating gardens, floating villages, Lotus-petal robe weaving looms, Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda-the most venerable pagoda on the lake, which houses 05 images of Buddha completely gilded, In Paw Khon village to observe the silk weaving, jumping cats monastery, etc. Overnight.

 

Day 09 Flight to Yangon.

Sightseeing
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Yangon. Upon arrival, transfer and check in at the hotel. Visit Bogyoke market-the biggest one in Yangon.
Leisure and overnight.

 

Day 10 Departure
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Leisure on your own. Transfer to Yangon International Airport for the departure flight.
